Group of 10. I agree with the other reviewers’ positive comments. First, the pictures don’t lie! Gorgeous sunsets, lush vegetation. Lots to do in the area. Marvelous on-site staff (luxurious not having to dress and rally the group for meals or grocery shop/clean up — daily laundry — well-kept grounds–tour pick ups right at the compound). The tour guides Susan selected were noticeably more knowledgeable than others we observed. TIPS: Plenty of room in the living areas. For room assignments/cost sharing: There are 4 bedrooms in the main house, 2 of which are accessible ONLY from the outside (consider if you have smaller children). All, including the casitas, require some stair climbing back and forth from the living area to the driveway. The two casitas are close to the main house and offer privacy but are more “spartan” than the main house. One casita sleeps 5 but would be tight with more than 2 or 3 adults. The other casita sleeps 2 and has the least room/no kitchen counters. Whole compound fenced in, felt very safe. Around 5 am the monkeys and birds start up — wonderful! Only thing I might do differently is skip the van ride from San Jose and fly to Quepos instead, at least one way. You do not need a car.
